The company is Thor-Tek....I was thinking about ordering one the 48" version for my tank 48x24x20 but don't know if it would be powerful enough for what I would like to keep after talking to Wingo.

See specs in the attached pdf file.......

These look great! I'm very interested in a 48" set-up. Since I don't know a lot about LED's, does anyone know if these are bright enough to replace my 2X250 14K MH's, and 2X48" Actinics. I have a 72 gallon bow front tank with lots of LPS, specifically Acans.I want to cut down on power usage, and heat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is what I found in their official forum:

A 4-strip fixture (white lamps,6 lamps/strip, 1.25W/lamp, totally 30W) intalled
on a deep tank with its depth of 40" and the distance between fixture and water is 10".

If the LED lamps are equipped with optical lens,it will increase the light penetration. Below are some optional optical lens. (Also found in their official forum!)

According to their claim, a 6-strip (45W) white LED fixture can generate light similar to that generated by a 150W MH. This is the case without the installation of optical lens. If installed, the light penetration and intensity will increase but it will sacrifice the lighting angle, which means that the area covered will decrease! This can be compensated by using more LEDs and is therefore being able to simulate the light of 250W MH!

In my own case, I have one 6-strip fixture (2 white and 4 blue) on my zoa only tank. Although I have no instrument (photometer etc.) for measuring the PAR value, the light seems as bright as my previous 150W MH! I am now working out for my 36"X24"X18" new tank. I am planning to have another new fixture from them! Maybe with optical lens for simple test!

Hope these info. helps!
