Hey everyone,
Quick question on leaving my tanks for 4 days as I go to take a test in Tuskegee, Alabama on May 31 till June 4th.
My tanks (6 gallon, 9 and 28) are going to be left without food unless I can convince my girl to come check on them.

Thing is, anything special you guys and gals think I should do? The evaporation will only be a problem in the 28 gallon and I just bought an ATO unit I am going to hook up for that.

Anything else I should be thinking about?

Also, any advice on when I need to move ? that will be a new thread but in the meantime just throwing it out there

All three tanks are seperate nanos and not plumbed into one another!

As for moving im worried about my fish!

one step at a time i guess, 4 days alone then can worry about the move.

As for the heat, my apt stay pretty cool so hopefully wont have any issues!

Make sure you have a UPS backup for all return pumps and for your ATO pump if possible, the fish will be fine if you feed them before you leave.

1. ) Do a water change before you leave.
2.) Turn off the lights. Better off that the corals go 4 days without lighting ( you'll come home to less algae as a plus ) than take a chance with too much evaporation.
3.) Double and Triple check that all equipment, especially return pump and ATO, is working properly. Pay especially close attention to built up salt creep and snails that might have gotten into plumbing or float switches. If you dont think this is necessary, search for Jejton's Tank Disaster thread.
