Water turning brown

I made some saltwater for a water change and turned brown.
I am using an RO/DI unit that isn't very old.
The non salt makeup water doesn't turn brown and looks clear.
Does anyone have any ideas why this would happen?

Does it turn brown before you put in tank or after?

check your water from the tap before it goes through the RO. Sometimes the water in my house turns brown, but it goes away in about a day.

I keep the RO/DI water for several days and it doesn't turn brown only after i add the salt has it been turning brown.

I read that high Mg level can make this happen do you have a Mg testeR?

did you try another brand of salt? brown water is common when the DEP is working on a water main in the area but your R/O should filter that out unless your sediment filter is exhausted.

Yes I would try a different salt.
