I purchased this set.
I just wanted to know if these will be good to use, to seal some plumbing for my tank.
I don't want to poison anything.
Thanks.

Yeh, their smell are pretty too. Make sure you working in open space, they smell so strong. Someone in expert on plumbing will give you better tip below.

the regular will work fine. I actually use the clear primer because I'm messy and I don't stain the house/carpet/cat, whatever is around me. I've started working on newspaper because I got tired of cleaning the floor.

Dry fit all your plumbing before you start gluing.
Prime the outside of the tube, and the inside of the fitting. Let them dry.

Put some cement on the outside of the pipe. I run the little dauber the whole way around the pipe. attach the fitting and spin it a bit. Work fast, the glue sets quick.

Practice on a pice of scrap so you can see how fast it sets.

Yeah thats the stuff, like someone mentioned make sure you are in an open and well ventilated area. My wife freaked and left the house and took the baby to her mothers. I was in the garage with the door open (Interior door closed) and the whole house smelled for hours.

ok,,what do you mean seal some plumbing in your tank ,,if you have any water leaking outof a pvc pipe it will not work ,,
this is only for new install,,you need to prime both the pipe and the fitting ,as well as applying glue on both side to make sure you have a good bond ,i also tunr the fitting in the pipe aabout half a turn(when inserting it to the fiting) ,this make a better connection between the both parts ,

actually painters tape works well. i have done it :D so don't knock it till you try it :D it is only good for keeping things neat. as soon as the joint is together remove it. but now i am good enough not to need the tape. it is actually quite easy to do it nice and neat. just be quick. when you try to do it slow you will drip and make a bigger mess. and with the primer, you can wipe most of it off the brush. a little goes a long way. and as ronen said, make sure you apply the glue to both fittings and twist a bit so that it gets a good connection :D
