Bush told me to vote for hhim and kerry told me to vote for him along with alot of supporters on each side. I didnt tell anyone who to vote for i just stated why i voted the way i did. I didnt say you had to for the same resons.
Its obvious hte rest of the world thinks bush is an idiot and dont want to deal with him. Why would we put a guy like that in office again? Just to further distance ourselves from the rest of the world. Kerry said he wanted to met with the other leaders, obviously thats not all hes going to do while he meets with them hes going to talk with them, i didnt expect him to tell me xactly what he was going to say. You are just taking what bush and cheany tell you "Just by having a meeting with them, whats that gonna do" Think for yourself man.
I dont put down people with values. but i surely dont think ONLY the peopel in the souh and the midwest have them. Just becasue im from NY doesnt mean im the Devil. And besides that i dont need a president to tell me what my values shoudl be or a church, i can be a decent moral individual on my own. And i certainly wouldnt cast a vote on such a thing when we are at war and bigger issues need to be dealt with.

First on marriage, this is not something that government should even be concerned about. Why should the government care what 2 people do? And using the bible as a def. for marriage or saying that Marriage was instituted by God himself is alot of garbage and just your opinion. If someone doesn't believe in god then they couldn't believe in your def. of marriage. As for purpose of marriage being "the founding and maintaining a family" then if your not going to have kids you shouldn't be married. By the way most marriage now a days end in divorce anyway.
On abortion it's already been decided by the s. court that it's the women right to choose what she wants. The Neo-cons unfortiuntly don't go along with this so they're trying everything to over turn it. Wasn't it funny that during the debates Bush wouldn't even mention what type of judges he would put on the s. court even though over time he has stated that he wants judges that are very conserative. Funny but all the people that are against abortion when the baby is finally born than all the concern for the kid stop and they could careless if the kid even has a place to live of money to eat.
As for removing pray is school, the last time I look school was for learning which alot of kids need to concentrate more on. If some wants to do prayers they can do it on there own time. Just like if someone doesn't want to or doesn't even believe in it. That what this country is founded on free relgion and a seperation of church and state. Isn't it funny that we got rid of the Tiaban and made a big deal that they were force their reglion on people and now the people were free but in this country we're trying and doing the same thing as the Tiaban.
As for Bush not being an idiot or having even average intelligent, come on now. I don't think anyone could make an aqruement for that.
marrone, for the govt to give ppl a marriage certificate, there must be a definition for it, and that is the traditional man-woman marriage. nobody is saying that gays cant do whatever they want, they can, and they can call themselves married or whatever they want, but the govt doesnt have to call them married as they are of the same sex. how then can we differentiate between gays and roomates who may want marriage benefits? what if someone wants to marry his pet, would that also be allowed as long as he intends to live with his pet forever? can he live with his pet, sure, but the govt doesnt have to issue him a certificate for that.

As for terrorism I don't think there is one person who doesn't want all the terrorist killed, Dem or Rep. Unfortunitly Iraq wasn't about terrorism it was about oil and getting back at Saddam. Bush and his people where looking, from day one to attack Saddam, and came up with some reasons, which have turn out to be wrong. Russia, France and Germany didn't join in because they want a piece of the pie, oil and money, and that why they were holding out.
What has happen now is we taking our eye off the real terrorists and have created a really bad situtation in Iraq that going to take alot of years to solve and cost alot of money. We have actually created a welfare state there where terrorists have now entered. Eventually Iraq will fall back under someone like Saddam as that is the only type of person who can control those people.
Unfortitunly I didn't see anyone mentioning the real problem over there which is Saudi Arabia. But they have alot of oil and ties with this country, specially Bush.
