Live sand or miracle mud

hey guys..i was wondering which is better for eliminating nitrates..i will be setting up an external fuge, and i want to know what is better to use..live sand..or miracle mud..i want to keep chaeto, pods, some mini sexy shrimp, snails, hermits. i need advice guys..thanks!!

p.s.
if anyone has any sand/mud/chaeto they want to donate..lmk..anything/everything would help!! = )

Try a RDSB. I have chaeto for you when you stop by. You really don't want
inverts in the fuge.

Why not? Pods are inverts... I'd keep a couple of breeding shrimp, mysis and snails in the fuge too.
