Unusual extension on fuzzy mushroom

So the mushrooms I got at the frag swap are doing something I have never seen before, they are putting out some sort of extension that looks like a brown string coming out of them. one single long extension about 5" in length that is flowing in the current? anybody have any insight for me? thanks.

I took a photo but don't know how to post it to the forum? any help with that would also be appreciated. thanks.

yeah, usually this is an excretion of some sort - could be from stress, could be from nutrients or could be from high levels of something it doesn't like (nitrates etc) check your levels and as long as all is well, it should be fine - FYI most shrooms don't like high current,
