Is this some kind of a joke? A sailing question.....

If it is the only difference between port and starboard is red and green.

Your not serious on a reef forum .......

Starboard (cutting board) is used on the bottom of the tank, in place of sand or a bare bottom tank.

Do a search on it and you'll find a lot about it, especially old posts as it was very commonly used in the past.

You might have more luck looking for High density polyethylene sheet as opposed to Starboard which is a trade name. It might work out a bit cheaper if you find the generic.

How thick should the HDPE be for the bottom of an acrylic tank?
Do I seal the board to the bottom with silicon?
Anyone know of a place to buy close to manhattan?

you want it thick enough so it doesn't warp over time. Also, you can silicone it to the acrylic, but it's not really necessary.
cuttingboardcompany.com is a great place to buy it from. I bought mine there. Good luck.
