Hello everyone here is the thing I am upgrading from a 30 to a 75 what is the best way so I dont lose any corals or fishes any help will be welcomed :shhh: Thanks to all:shhh:

What kind of corals? And are you placing the new tank in the same place where the old one will be located?

some leathers,poly,lobo,xenias ,hard and soft that is not going in the same spot lights will also be changing going to 250w mh 14,000 2 from a pc already started them on the mh already.

oh then you shouldn't have a problem with the move set the new tank fill it almost about half way with new water. If you have a rubber bin that you can move your corals in with a heater and a powerhead you will be ok in moving the sand and rocks into the new tank with the remaining water from the 30 into the new tank.

ok so put the fish and the coral in the rubber bin the rest of the 30 with sand in the new then how long before i add fish and corals.

as long as the water is at the right temp you should not have any ill effect. You can also mix the new water in slowly into the bin and back to the tank if you are worried about losses

I lost 6 fishes in all waiting to see whats good with the corals so far not a good upgrade at all

How did you lose the fish? Did you get them into the new tank and then they died or did they die before you got them into the new tank?

came home and found them dead before i could put them in new thank going fish shopping today. all corals are ok .

how could that have happened though? did you take the heater off and they froze? how could they just die at the same time? something happened.

never took the heater of the clowns lived and the corals everything else gone sad day started again got a tri color wrasse hog fish banded coral shrimp and a coral shrimp this week will try and get back my six line and my tangs. will miss my luna wrasse one of a kind did not eat corals.
