I will disagree the best way to use ozone is in an ozone reactor not a skimmer.
it's much more effective and easier to control in a reactor than a skimmer.
no reason not to run water mixed with ozone through carbon before returning to the tank.
in a reactor ozone is contained ing the pressurized canister, no waste, no unpleasant smell. run the effluent through a carbon reactor and than back to the tank.
also must, must use an ORP controller to regulate Ozone cant do it by eye
