What's going on????

My kenya and xenia are loosing their color, and it all seem to happen overnight, what could be the problem? I had a butterflyfish that died a few days ago, and I didn't take it out for a few days, could that be the source of the problem? I got the butterflyfish from NYaquatic, he never ate food that i threw into the tank (flakes or frozen), so he ended up dying, could his death be the problem? I did do a five gallon water change, and will do another 5 gallon water change today. I have a 46 gallon bow front, with bubble magus skimmer.

Very well could be since you left it in the tank to decompose.

Try doing a larger water change and testing and follow iwht another in a few days if things are still out of whack.

Also its gonna take some time for the color to come back on the kenyas.

NEVER a good idea to leave a dead fish in the tank, if you can get it, remove it.
