Temperature and RO/DI Units

Does anyone know if it is bad to keep your ro/di unit where it the temperature gets above 90? Does this have an effect on the membranes or cartridges?

I know hot water can kill your RO membrane fast but I don't think it will affect it much as long as you are running cold water through your RO/DI and as long as wherever you have it stored never gets above say 110.

I've noticed when my apartment ambient temperature is high the TDS coming out of the RO membrane is higher when i first turn it on. but when the water gets cooler it goes back down to normal. Putting more tds through the membrane can't be good though.

It hasnt been above 80 this whole summer, how is your room 90?

Its a problem of higher floors in older apartments. My apartment always feels like a closed car in the sun. There's insufficient to no insulation and the hottest day of the summer so far when it was like 85 my apartment went well above 100 and cooked my tank.

R/O run optimally in the 70 degree range, it will function at higher temps but you decrease the life of the membrane. as far as high TDS readings when you first turn on the unit is normal, the residual water that lays stagnant when the filter is off picks up some TDS.
