yes most are but i'm not getting the polyp extention i should have do to not enough flo. my perimeters are good so thats not a concern for me.

well thank you all for those nice words. i'm hoping that tomorrow will be a pleasent outcome. i really would have like to glue around starboard but i don't want to take the risk of losing some of my corals or fish do to keeping all that stuff in cans. but will try tell let you guys know how it went when i'm done

In my move I really didn't lose the coraline on my walls (you don't see any glass). But you have to move quickly once you empty the tank. As much as you can and for as long as you can, try and keep the coraline wet when the tank is empty. At most my tank was empty for 2 hours, no more.

Good luck, have lots of towels ready! Take your time, right up until your ready to drain the tank completely (all rock and coral removed).

will do. my concern is the starboard. i have to cut out the overflos and it will be kind of difficult.

You know you don't have to completely cover the whole bottom. I didn't even try to make it fit snugly. I have an 1/2 on all sides between the glass walls and the starboard. Since my flow is all across the starboard nothing really accumulates there. You probably also don't have to cover the bottom completely, in that you need to cover where any rocks may fall and break the bottom.

looks like when I ever upgrade I will stick to a more coarse grade of sand to avoid any problems like this!

with the type of sand that i have i don't think the wave box would make a difference. it's too fine ,but it's also the best and most natural look sand i have ever seen. (my opinion). I would truely suggest that you do use a sand thats not so fine so you would the same problem

Very nice SPS growth and it?s probably too late but you can increase flow with a sand bed if you go with a wave box.



I am bare bottom with a wave box but I did try putting a cup of sand in the tank and it didn't spill out a bit.
