I have a 50 gallon reef and after a test, here are the results.
KH - 125.3ppm/7dKH
PH - 8.4
Nitrate - 0
Phosphate - .25 ppm
While my tank was cycling, it had grown alot of hair algae and green stuff everywhere. Now, after decreasing amount of lighting and adding some turbo snails, the green hair algae is gone.
However, what is left is white/gray colored dust covering everything. Is this some type of algae as well or is it dead hair algae just stuck on there?
Another problem is that I have this green grass looking thing growing on the live rock. In the beginning I could immediately tell it was different because its not as stringy and long as hair algae. Instead, it is shorter, only about an inch long, is a little thicker, and when I try to scrape it off it doesn't come off. Is this some sort of plant?
Are my test results good enough or are there any problems?
Thanks
