Mag 12 Rattling

One of my two Mag 12 return pumps has started to rattle and after turning it off for maintainance is hard to restart. Anybody had experience with mags doing this and was ix fixable without buying a whole new pump?

The plastic rod holding impeller broke inside of it... Probably from running without water or age this creates groves on the magnet and heats up the rod in the middle.. I've done this thousands of times If you take it apart it won't go back together easily I glued mines..

just replace the impeller and the rattling will go away. i just did this recently.

alot of those pumps after running a long time will actualy form a grove /pattern on how it runs once u shut it off it screws it all up they arent ment to be turned off and on. not that this is ur case but this does happen

just had the same issue and ordered an impellor for my mag 12 mine hasnt broke yet but i noticed when i shut it off i had to bang it... new impellor is on the way!!!
