So they are pods and are good. But you really need to read if you want to be successful at this hobby. There is pleanty to read on this site as well as others. And if your fish really have ich then you have your hands full and not much time to resolve it.
Test your water pars with Salifert Nitrate, Phosphate, You can use the cheap ones for nitrite and ammonia, they should read 0.. How long has you tank been running?? Do you use RO water??
It is funny you say the white things crawling on the glass, I rember when I posted or tired to take good picks of them, they are hitch hickers from teh live rock but make sure they are not tiny odd legged star fish that are white they are not good for the tank. Then you have bristel small starfish they are good for the tank, I do bleaive you have stomella snails they are fine and good for the tank but try to take a picture, for the fish that has ick try to set up a hospital tank you def do not what that spreading in the tank. Good luck and keep us posted.
Thank you everyone for your help. I will be quarantining my fish that have the Ich and treating them, hopefully it will go away. As for the Pods I am going to get an opinion from a friend that will come over tonight to take a look and confirm that they are pods.
If you decide to use any type of copper med please make sure you purchase the proper copper test kit along with it. It is important for you to test the copper levels in your "HOSPITAL TANK". You need to have the proper amount of copper in order for it to do it's job correctly. To much can kill your fish, to little will do nothing to irradicate the ich.
You mentioned treating fish that have ick. Your best bet is to remove all fish from the display tank. They all have it whether they show signs of it or not. I used CopperSafe and it worked for me.
By the way, how do you know it is ick?
Well My sailfin tang died and was covered with white dots. Then my yellow tang started to get the same white dots on him. I also have my strawberry covered with it. I think it was my sailfin that was the host. Last night I took them out and started the treatment in another tank. Hopefully it will work. I am using Kordon Ich Attack for Fresh & Saltwater Aquariums. I will let you know if it works. Oh my friend came over and did confirm that the little things on the glass are copepods.
