Stupid Question

I am currently plumbing and huge 100g sump to assit with my smaller sump so I bought a larger chiller to handle the extra 100g. I was thinking of adding a temp gage before and after just too see what the differential in temp is. Ok all the gages Im acustom to have a brass body to sence temp. Im thinking this is not a good idea because of the metal issue coming in contact with the water. Was woundering what others think about this. In the mean time I will search the net for maybe a nylon type gage.

what about two $10 thermometers...unless, of course, you are doing specific, scientific, research that requires spending as much $ as possible, to justify your new chiller purchase....Regardless of the temp. differential outcome, your wife will still not agree. :splitspin

well being a mechanical Project manager Im use to seeing lots of pipes and gagets. I guess Ill keep it simple....

I would use 2 inline PVC probe holders. With 2 digital thermometers or if you have a controller, 2 temp probes.

Did you get the Stock tank? I would also agree with Leo digital thermometers is the way to go
