but for u a 40 watt single bulb will do .....LOL

I like the 4 bulb tek light ,,,,I have a 8 bulb over one of the frag tanks and i have a 6 bulb on 2 others and a 96 watt PC over another ,,,So it all depends what u have

on a 40 brreder mixed reef i would go with 6 bulb t5..or 2- 150 watt halides.

a 250 watt pendant leaves a dark shadow on the corners unless you have a really large reflector. it would work though it just wasn't good for my taste

I agree, or 2 - 150 watt Pendants, which I think was recommended earlier. 1 250wat by itself does not have enough spread, the tank would very dark in the corners, it would have that "UFO" look.
