I'll be having to replace mine soon. Currently, meaning the last 8 years or so, I've been using UMI's 1 hp models and have been very satisfied with them. The problem is that the company has since moved to Canada and, in the past, I've run into difficulties in dealing with both Canadian vendors and bureaucracies that led to delays regarding customs, service, etc. The Teco brands seem very popular, especially on the west coast and come highly recommended but I know of no one in this area with any first hand experience.
Am I missing any others? Again, we're talking in the 1 hp range. And I'd prefer NOT to go with Aqua Logic. Thanks.
