A salt thread from 2005???? Surely there have been 5 gazillion of them since then.lol
It is interesting to note that some VERY successful aquarists were using very "basic" salts with great results.

Oceanic is my brand of choice, been using it for 2 years and never had a problem. Doesn't have ammonia in it like IO and other brands.
