Okay, so I've just starting using the ELOS dkh to test my alk. Now it says to add drop by drop until Cyan changes to Yellow. Since the color is a gradual change, where is the actual point of accuracy? Is it when the slightest tinge of yellow comes in? Because for me, it was 9 drops in which @ .5dkh per drop, gives me an alk of 4.5dkh. This seems a little whacky. My Ca readings are 390ppm.

hmm never used the elos ones- use salifert i find them more accurate. But mostly all alk test kits have color changers. if it has a slight ting of yellow than that means one or two drops will make it fully yellow- one of these times add in extra drops to see when its fully yellow and doesn't go any yellower- thats the color that you wanto get at each time you test.

I guess it doesn't help that the test solution is actually orange and the whole tube will turn orange/red. I think thats whats messing me up. So regardless, its when the test turns to shade of the testing regeant and not when it just hints at that color, right? Thanks for helping btw.
