I ran the aqua c urchin pro on my reef for 8 months. I loved it! I would upgrade the mag 3 pump to a mag 5 though. It pulled out a lot more skimmate when I upgraded the pump.

FWIW, if you have the room, for the same price you can have a euroreef skimmer which is a better skimmer (I have upgraded to one).

Thank you very much for your replies.

I do not have enough room in my sump for a Euroreef skimmer. This is the reason that I am looking at the AquaC Urchin Pro Skimmer. My tank size is 90G octagon.

On the site it says that the footprint required for the Urchin Pro is 7.5"x3.25". However, I can see from the picture that it has an elbow for water inlet and supporting fin for the pump that will make the footprint more then 7.5" x 3.25".

My sump size (where I can put the skimmer) measures only 6.1" x 12".

Could you please measure the actual footprint without the pump? I think that I can adjust (shift) the pump to the side. I am trying to find out if it would fit 6.1"x 12" sump opening.

Thank you very much,
Lana
