cleaner shrimp gone

can someone tell me what may be the culprits.what i have in the tank that are suspect..filefish,carpet anemones,long nose hawkfish,pistol shrimp.everything has been with him for awhile now except long nose.

how big is the hawk? They're known to sometimes eat inverts.

My vote would be the longnose! Is the longnose large?

i agree.. hawk fish are known to sometimes eat shrimp if they are big enough

Hawkfish. They're known for eating bigger shrimp.

My cleaner is an extra large or was and the hawk is 2 in in length

My cleaner shrimp will disappear for several days at a time - so it can molt and while its new shell hardens. Do you see shrimp exoskeletons anywhere? They leave them out as a decoy while they are vulnerable.
