for the gatevalve mod and recirc mod on the ASM? what does it do? thanks

after you preform the recirc mod it allows there to be more contact time with the water. therefore it might possibly increase the skimmate output.

i think the gatevalve mod allows you to have more control of your skimmer. this will allow you to create wet or dry skimming i think...

so are the mods worth it? for those that have it. right now im going back and forth between 75 gal and 90 gal setup. now G2 or G3. i was decided on the g3 before but now im having doubts. thanks

Hard to say if the mods will be worth it. I would get the skimmer and run it for awhile after it's broken in. If you're happy with the improvement in water quality and livestock health, it may not be worth it to you to further improve the skimmer's effectiveness.

I bought a G3 for my 65g with the intent of doing both mods shortly.
