Adding more sand~

I would like to have a deeper sand bed & received some from Dace.
I was wondering:
my tanks current sand is fully establish & "live." Would I mess up by adding more sand on top of it? This sand has been in a bucket for some days now (in water).

yes ...tHat wouLd be better. i did this with a fuge, and i couLd teLL i did something wrong. i juSt dont want yoU to g0 thru the same thing :icon16:
