• #7 New vendors...drove 175 miles, only to find a 'custom rock-scaper' about 40 miles from my home, whose work, I really liked
• #6 SAY 'HI' to MR Vendors w/family and staff...Jim from Saltwater Critters, Danny from Royal Aqua, Vince from Manhattan Aquariums, and Wingo from another planet! to name a few.
• #5 REEF MERMAIDS & Dealers, THATS RIGHT! Josh knows how to attract a crowd...PRETTY GIRLS!
• #4 MR friends and family...went down there with NYreefnoob and questionmarc, saw flipit, naples, frank arriaga, Moidol, Zany, just missed cali-reefer, and finally got to meet Thane and his lovely wife, in person! (my apologies to anyone I forgot to mention)
• #3 FREE STUFF, Great Pricing...besides everything (magazines, food, additives, samples) that is given away, I received 6 SPS colonies (spelled N-O-T-F-R-A-G-S) for FREE, from vendors, I had been BS-ing with. THANK YOU , everyone got great deals, and went home HAPPY
• #2 MANHATTAN REEFS...a. YOU CAN'T BELIEVE how many people, saw my badge and asked me about MR , even a new vendor asked me, about sponsorship...b. it's nice to be greeted by name, as you walk into a place, Thanks to Kathy, Marrone, Randy and Josh, and c. the MR Party had more MACNA VIPs than any other party there, Thanks again, to Josh and Randy.

For me it was the cheap corals and the opportunity to make the money to buy them. The few lectures and demo's I sat in was very good too.

It's a shame the turn out was the lowest in the 6 or 7 I have been to, but it made the coral cheaper for me too. This convention hall was one of the better ones.

There were 1100 attendees, 137 booths staffed by nearly 300 vendor representatives. The speaker hall held nearly 800 people but I didn't get a chance to sit in so I'm not sure how well attended they were. I did get to spot check the workshops and those seemed to be really well attended.

Thanks Albano, very sweet of you! I truly do not believe there were 1100 people in attendance but there were def a lot and everyone was really nice.

Albano, what day were you there?

My friends and I were there on Saturday, and Sunday, till closing time , not to mention, the now famous MR party!

There were 1100 people in attendance ?

I'm sure Phyl is right on, with her figures...the difference would be that the 1100 attendees, were not all there at the same time, many were Saturday or Sunday only...there were certainly many hundreds of people who stayed to the end for the HUGE 2 hour raffle ! BTW, nice meeting you Phyl, thanks for a great show!

It was a good time.. DEFINITELY 1100 people. I personally counted everyone. It was good to see everyone.. Josh threw a delightful party! Delightful company.. just a delightful time

What happened to all the samples and freebies from the vendors? There were next to none. I guess in this recession everyone cut back... I was there on sunday and some of the coral prices started to drop as the ending got near. Some of those vendors weren't budging on their prices.... Some prices were really ridiculous and some were on the money as they should all have been at an event like Macna. For my first time I was expecting a little more but overall it was good.

I got there on saturday, but wished I would have been there on sunday cause the raffle prizes were crazzzzzzy!!But it was good to be around people that got excited as soon as they entered the room. The Led light technology/potential is amazing.

Second only in the attendee count but a MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER event then ATL could ever imagine of doing!!! Best MACNA to date (from the 10+ I have attended that is). I really liked Pitts. and DFW as well.
