I have a 65 gallon 38X18 reef tank with a 250 watt metal halide with 2X96 watt fixture. I want to put a firefish in, but was told that it wont do well with a sailfin tang in the tank as well. My fish bioload in the 65 is very low, its mostly corals. Is it okay to have a sailfin tang, kole tang, and red firefish in a 65 reef?

As far as i know you can add a few firefish. If you decide to add more than one put them in all at once.Be sure you have a lid over your tank and no anenones.

Not sure if you're aware of the adult size of a sailfin tang since you're adding one (or have one) in a 65g (36"x18") tank. They grow to 15"+/-. That is extremely large for your tank.

With this in mind, if you don't have the sailfin in there, then there is no issue for the firefish. They'll be fine.
