"Regular" T5 Bulbs

Can "regular" T5 3500K bulbs be used for reef lighting?
I can get a case and a half of 36" Philps T5 bulbs for free and I wanted to know if they can be used.

Wait not so fast...You can mix them with blue actinic T5s... Just a thought......

i would use 6500k lamps maybe...but not 3500k. you can also find 6500k lamps at lowes/home depot.

I wanted to know if anyone could use them
actually if anyone wanted them for any reason

my office is going to toss them so I would prefer someone use them
they are free

Its fine for lighting up the rooms in your house
