Questions about pumps second hand tank

I believe it is just seized up. But my main question is this is a 3000g pump called a dynamo used for pools. Now eventhough it was a saltwater tank does anyone know if you can use pool pumps long term on a tank. They are fairly cheap so even if I had to rebuy one and replace one it isn't a big deal but I want to make sure it is safe. I plan on putting in all rare show size angels and I don't want it to suddenly blow up and kill thousands of dollars of fish. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Instead of always bashing people for giving their time to give advice....you should help out both parties instead of being a smart @ss about it.

Make sense if some-one has purchased a 400 gallon, with plans to keep rare fish & it included a seized "pool pump"...just to purchase a quality pump.

You always seem to post innuendos instead of calling out the people you have problems with.

BTW, next time you have a dead fish in your tank, you should just go out a buy a new tank.:tongue1:

Yeah I figured for the 400 I'd just get a new pump either a pool or sequence they all seem to be running around 200 range so that is okay. I am going to have a live rock curing tank so if I get this one running that way if it dies all I lose is some rock.
