Protein Skimmer Question

Im looking to buy a protein skimmer for my 46g reef setup. Im looking for a skimmer thats quiet and doesn't tower over my fish tank because i do not have a canopy. Any suggestions please let me know.

A Remora pro should be fine if you're looking for HOB skimmers.

the regular remora is rated up to 75g i only have a 46g tank do i really need the remora pro?

My opinion, Protien skimmer bigger is better.

you should also consider about running a sump(10g-20g). This way you can have a refugium(chaeto) and room to put chemipure/purigen/etc. Its a lot cleaner looking as well. ex. heater in the sump instead of in the tank!

yea i know but the sumps out of the question for now. im running a rena xp3. my next tank will get a sump.
