I know it is to break down organic wast but would this be good to run with coral or fowlr. I am looking to a drastic up grade to my system including uping the skimmer and adding another carbon chamber. I would like to know if this would be a good addation to the tank. I have a 40 gallon.

It's very effective espesially in a fowlr, where more fish than you would think can be maintained

I wouldn't use one personally, Anthony. There's a nice bit of information on WWM about them. Basically good for fish stores/etc with large changes in bioload. I wouldn't use them on a reef tank though.

I think you should open a pole to see how many people use them. I'v seen them in operation twice. That Pet Place and New World Aqu.and New World stopped using it a long time ago.
