I'm looking for good deals on the following equipment. New or used okay, as long as they all work!

34G Solana. Low-iron glass a must. With or without stand.
Tunze 9002 Skimmer
Vortech MP10 or 20. (last thing to buy, so it's way down the list!)

Which is quieter, the Tunze or Solana? The tank is going in my bedroom so I need it dead quiet.

I don't know how loud the Sapphire is, but the Tunze 9002 was almost silent. Very, very quiet. Other items (lights/fans/etc) where much louder.

Honestly, you might want to reconsider the low iron glass being a necessity on such a thin tank, IMO. I think the difference on larger tanks is much more noticeable than on smaller ones with thin glass. Just my opinion though.

Russ, It's tempting to buy it new, but since I'm not setting it up for a bit, I'm trying to find a used one.

I use a Tunze in my RSM and its located in my bedroom - the only thing i can hear is the canopy fan and even that is extremely quiet. Getting the tunze was the best move i made

I'm not crazy about my sapphire skimmer. Just FYI. Although I don't have one of the new ones, mine is the first run biocube 29g version.
