Question to all what are the supplements need for a tank with LPS,SPS all types a diverse reef. Also what will you say is the best brand out.Next should you clean your sump?:shhh:

If you are new to the hobby, i wouldn't get drawn into the various debates about the various supplements needed, used, in vogue, etc. You need to supplement Alkalinity and calcium in some manner whether that be via a calcium reactor, kalkwasser, or 2 part system. Beyond that perform regular partial water changes and suppllement for magnesium if needed and that is all you really have to do. Other supplements may be useful for this that or the other thing, but none are required.

If you are using a 2 part method and adding mag. then ESV is the company I'd go with--high quality products, high quality people, locally manufactured and they support MR.
