I am now hoping to let it grow in again, like it use to look. My back wall of the tank was covered in mushrooms, I lost alot of them when they were air exposed during the BB transition, . Also, if you see my old tank picture I had a HUGE rose anemone, it is still in the tank, but it didn't like the move to BB and has been going on "walk about" for a couple of weeks. But it has finally found a new spot that it likes, hopefully we can both agree on the new spot, , without any intrusions into SPS zones.

Solbby, that is a beautiful tank. Only time can make a tank look like that. Any chance we can get a pic of the rear and sides along with a brief description?

I am going to start my own tank thread soon. I have pictures of my tank going back years, so I can show it's progresssion over time, i.e. my ups and downs.

It is a complelely different beast to what it once was. So instead of filling this thread about my tank, I will put the pic that you asked for in the new thread when I start it.

Yeah I see in the old pic you had shrooms on the back and it looks like xenia on the left side of the tank.
I'm starting a 90g but have been thinking I just might upgrade before I start I'm thinking a 120g might be better.
As far as skimmer my ex got me the Berlin Red sea Turbo XL, I'm not sure if I'm going to use it but right now I have no choice. do you know if this is a good skimmer or should i get something else?

You need to provide more info, . For example, what type of corals are you going to keep? BB vs. DSB? How many fish? Why don't you start a new thread about what you want to do, I'm sure you will get a lot of good advice.

My tank is a 120 gallon also.

I would listen to Rich, which is get the BIGGEST, BADDEST skimmer that you can afford. I have never used a Berlin Red sea Turbo XL, but I did use a Berlin red sea skimmer for a long time. It was a piece of crap! I am a big fan of the recirculating skimmers, but reeftank hardware is not my speciality. I am a biologist so while I understand the biology to a reef tank and coral husbandry, there are much better/more knowledgeable people here who could provide you with information on skimmers, etc. So I will respectfully defer to them.

i heard the asm, euro life skimmers do a great job. im getting the asm g2 or g3 for my 75 gallon. or maybe the remora urchin i think they call it for in sump.

I think BB is here to stay ,and is by no means a fad.

It's an old bulb (at the one year mark) in combination with the camera.
