It just just makes me ill when you post a thread and person jumps on an item (a fish) and you hold it for them with other people asking for it,but promised to this person trusting them to pay me when i get there also this person knew that the fish(a yellow eye kole tang)was in my sump.I contacted all people taking items fish,corals so on,SO WHAT HAPPENS THIS A.. DECIDES TO CANCEL AT AROuND 3AM THE MORNING IM COMING,OH IT WASNT THAT HE WASNT GOING TO BE ABLE TO MAKE IT BECAUSE HE STILL WANTED THE DAMN FRAGS I HELD FOR HIM.....RIGHT.... LIKE HE WAS GOING TO GET THEM.I could have sold the tang 4 times over but i made a promise, i look at it like this others should keep theirs.

Oh and thats not all i let everyone know that im arriving at noon and need to leave by 1pm but no i sit there waiting for another person that knew i had fish for him and what happens 2pm and finally shows,and best of all i get paid part in change thats right people the old jingle jangle that wieghs down the pocket.

Get with it come on its a 2hr trip for me im a very fair person i dont ask much i do what i promise i would really like to see the same. RJ

i try to trust and look what happens it ruins it for the other honest people honestly id rather have cash than have to have payment sent to paypal but it looks like thats what im going to have to do.

Chief right, unless you know the person, and you can trust them, the best think to do is get the money up front through Paypal. Too many people flake out and leave you hanging. It does help to leave the proper feedback for the person, which will help others in the future when they're dealing with them, it may also make people think twice about flaking out on people in the future.

I don't think that is bashing at all. If you had an agreement in good faith and a party cancels, other people who deal with this person in the future should know about it. That is the whole point of feedback. Letting people get away with irresponsible behavior doesn't teach them anything and they will continue to do what they please until someone calls them on it. The good solution is paypal to hold if you don't know the person because when people have given money, all of a sudden many of those "things" that come up suddenly don't come up anymore and they are available to pick up what they payed for.

Good luck next time, I hope at least the change this guy/girl gave you was not pennies! Times are rough.

Well I might as well come out and say it was me that pulled the d*c* move unintentionally. I really wanted the tang when I first saw the post and I was planning to pick it up along with some frags that my gf and I wanted at noon sharp on Sunday. Now I have a 75G tank already set-up with 2 tangs in it, a Sailfin and a Yellow Tang. I was planning to put the Kole Tang in a separate tank I have set-up as a type of refugium but it is about 2/3 full of LR. I was planning to keep the tang in there for no more than 2 weeks due to my upgrade to a 210G soon which is all depending on my parents buying a house which was supposed to be happening within this month. Things have got complicated Saturday night with that so I didn't see the upgrade coming soon and for the good of the fish I didn't want to take him. Then he called at 8:22 left a voicemail and I was still sleeping, called back at 9:02 and he told me he wasn't happy with the **** I pulled and I apologized and I told him I'd take him anyways thinking I could get rid of him on my own once I bought him but he said he had already left and he wasn't bringing me the frags either, yet my gf and I had planned to go down to meet him days in advance. Now you can all think it's an excuse but it's not. As a trustworthy member of this forum I feel like it's the right thing to come out about it myself.

Once again, I apologize for any inconvinience I have caused you RJ and good luck with the rest of your breakdown

Also, if you ask for a deposit.. make sure it is a "Non-refundable" deposit.....

paypal to hold is the only way, if they really want it they will pay, I live with the 3% paypal charges! as someone else said in an earlier post, if its paid for they'll show up!

two people didn't pay me ahead of time for the fragswap... you want to know which frags didnt get picked up!!!! you guessed it!!! the only reason I didn't care was because it was just two $10 frags... I gave them away! cant remember who but two really cool guys I met at the swap!
