whats the difference between actinic 420 and 460? wats better?

420nm is purple-ish and flourescent, 460nm is the blue bulb.

well... when i first started i had t5s on my 40g breeder. i was using the stock actinics which were 460nm. i had switch to wavepoint 420nm and the light was purple opposed to the 460nm which were blue... but, after a couple of more months my lps seemed to be doing really well. at that time i didn't change anything else except the lighting and stuck w/ my weekly water changes. so i do believe the lights were a huge help. it also cosmetically brought out the reds and blues more too.
