Almost 3 months ago I purchased a brand new VERTEX In250... The pump after 2 months stopped working... So I contacted the person I got it from.he expressed some concern and got his supplier to mail me a new pump... I was a relieved because usually you have to send in the old pump before you get the new one... And since this happened right after the swap, 2 days to be excact I had some new stuff that I was very worried about...
Anyway the pump that arrived was the wrong one so when I contacted the person who I got it from N told him, I was told " I dont know what to tell you"... I told him I cant wait another 7 - 10 days for the right one Ill pay for two day air... He said ok Ill pay it up front N you PP me the cost $36.66 I told him no problem... Then he told me not to send the pump (wrong one) back that he would come pick it up... He was a no show... Now he wants me to pay for shipping...
UpS package took almost a week to get here a family member who works for UpS told me you can get your money back and when he looked at the sticker he told me that I was overcharged by about $15, which had the pump got here in 2 days I wouldnt even care... Now Im telling him that I will send the pump back once I get the refund N he is saying to send the pump N then Ill get my refund...

I'm not really sure what you're looking for as far as a refund.

He quoted you a price of $36.66 for shipping, and you agreed to pay it, so even if he managed to ship it for less, he's not really obligated to refund you the difference.

If you're looking for a refund for the shipping because it took longer than 2 days, then that is a battle between you and UPS (or the shipper and UPS), which can take awhile to sort out. If the seller has to fight with them, he should refund the money once UPS reimburses him.

As for returning the old pump, ask the seller send you a pre-paid label and subtract it from the refund (if any), that he's giving you. He did send you the other pump as promised, and did so before asking you to send this one back, so whatever your fight over shipping costs is, he is entitled to get the old pump back.

just don't overfeed your fish or corals enough that your fish can consume in a minute, otherwise your putting too much food. I would do a 20% water change everyweek. getting more information. (HIM)

I totally agree with you that the fight is with the shipper N I told him I wasnt upset with him but since I didnt ship it I cant get the refund unless its through him... N I was going to give him the pump but he didnt show up... Now when he told me to ship it I told him it would cost $36.66 and put LOL, he totally flipped when I was pretty cool about some crazy emails n stuff from him like it was my fault the pump stopped working... Please dont think that I dont want to give him his pump back... The last thing I want is a pump I have no use for... Everything was ok until he started talking to me crazy N I still kept it professional...
N I dont think you read carefully I didnt care about the over charge until he started acting crazy N flipping out, until when I put LoL N he went crazy...

Im still not going to put him out there... He doesnt realize that I got along with him but he pulled some real Jeckel N Hyde stuff on me... Maybe he just didnt believe me when I told him the problem isnt with him but I have to contact him because he was the seller N I dont have the supplier info N the purchase is under his name...

you already put him out there, and in reality, he got the skimmer for you, most companies would have you ship it back to them cutting out the seller and being stuck with the maker, buy a vortech and let it break, who ever you bought it from cant help you, you have to send it back to vortech

A 180, why... N your probably right it might have taken longer than 2 and half weeks N might have been better for me N the other person involved... We might of still been cool... But I guess things do happen thats what I was told...
