First off I recomend doing some serious reading as well as search many of the posts in this forum. There is a huge amount of helpful information to guide you on your way. To answer your coral questions....I will give you two options...In an SPS tank I would definitely recomend the green slimer this has always been a relatively easy, colorful and fast grower. For softies zoas are great, colorful and multiply like wildfire for the most part.
A calcium reactor is definitely not necessary to start with but as time goes on if you find that your tank starts to be dominated by SPS's than down the road I would get one.
Like i said before please read and learn about the requirements of the corals and animals that you are aquiring before you purchase.
