overflow...sump...question

i just built my sump....going to start it up either tonite or tomm...that only thing that i dont know how to do is starting up the U tube in the overflow...any good suggestions?

put a airline all the way up to the top of the U-tube and manually suck all the air out :icon16:

nice nice good advice it worked,,,,but leads into the next question...my PVC is leaking...where the joints are....yes...it made a mess...what do you guys use to bond them so they dont leak?

when i made all my PVC connections...i didn't haev that special bottle to seal them...forgot what its call....so i juts put a little silicone on the rim and pushed it through while turning it. Dried over night and everything was water proof for me. hope that helps

hmmm yeh i saw that at HD dean...thanks a lot guys....sucks ....i was all excited to run my sump...then when i finally did...waterfall lol...

ohh yeh my overflow seals are leaking too...crap...waht can i do to bond that? its 2 washers ....but i think their too old...

i have no clue...i bought one from peter....apparently its really just been sitting around...

find the leak and seal it some silicone is all i can think of...anybody else with ideas?
