CA reactor, B-Ionic, Randy's 2 part ?

does the 2 channel doser dose both ca and alk at once? is there a side affect to dosing both parts at once? it seems a 2 channel pump is cheaper then a litermeterIII

I would only trust a high quality dosing pump with this task.

the litermeter III is $299.99

and the sentry 5 is also $299.99

look at it this way, use a $299 pump, make the two part and the pump is free after a while, compared to dosing B-Ionic in a large tank.

I use b-ionic becuse I have no room for a reactor ATM but it works great all my coral is very happy

made by the same people john, this one isnt as much functions but it can dose 2 parts at the same time for 139, but cant do a water change and use a float switch. if i was just doing 2 part i really dont care LOL.

why is it sitting in a box by itself?

Well, the box is an extension of my stand. The tubes exit through the rear into my sump.

my Ca set up was close to 700 bucks
I was using almost 2 gallons of each part if B-ionic so it was costing me almost 70 a month I justified the cost, I figure after 10 months I'm Ok

That`s why I swiched to Randy`s formula, alk is about 70 cents a gallon and calc maybe 20 cents.

you can't let the cost of the doser deter you.

If you go by cost alone then the doser is still less expensive.
CA Reactor + CO2 Tank+ Solenoid controller = $$$.$$

Tom get the doser for 139.00 and try the two part formula

I have one and I know Dean has one also, he got it from the same person I did on ebay. They're fine and you use new hoses also no water touches the doser.

I know that. It's just the thought something that was used in a hospital room is now dosing my reef tank, that's wierd. (to me)

Yup! I have a 2-channel doser; however, I use it to drip kalk all day replacing evaporated water . I want to start dosing B-Ionic as well, but will only do so if I can automate it :scratchch.
