So I've had this skimmer for over a year now and just can't seem to get it right...forgive me for being a little slow on the uptake, but if the bubbles aren't making it to the collection cup...should i be loosening or tightening the blue screw? It seems extra hard to turn either way, so I'm just curious. I have the custom collection cup from StevieT or whoever on nano-reef...and I keep my water just below the water line... PLEASE any help would be greatly appreciated!
BTW it is in the center chamber of my biocube29,

thanks!

If the bubbles are not reaching the cup. You need to loosen the screw. Try about a 1/4 turn. give it a few minutes and see where it is at. If it is still not reaching. Do it again. And so on.
The best time to do this is about an hour after you feed, to be sure that it should be making bubbles. Sometimes it does not produce if there is nothing to skimm.
Also, be sure not to put your hands in the water for a few hours befor you adjust because the oil from your hand (No Matter How Clean You Think They Are) will stop the skimmer from producing bubbles.
Even 1 fingertip in a tank that size can stop production.
If none of this works. You need to clean the airline because it is more than likely clogged with salt. You can do this wthout taking the skimmer apart by removing the blue screw completely and Syringing(is That A Word?) fresh water generouslt into the screw hole. Take Collection cup off for this process.
I hope this helps. Let us know or PM me if you are still having trouble.
