Water change question

Hi MR!

Can anyone share with me the number of gallons they change for a 14 gallon tank? I change 2 gallons per week. That may be too little due to how quickly this size tank may buildup with waste, am I right? 5 gallons better? I only have two fish and a shrimp as of now.

I had a 12g nano and changed 2.5 gallons a week. I would vacuum the sand when I syphoned the water off.

Hmmm nice! So I guess I should probably vacuum out about 4 gallons worth to get a good clean. Thanks!

Every 2 weeks I change about 4 gallons on my 14g biocube.

I change 5 gallons on my 14 aquapod once a month.

If you only have two fish, test for nitrate to get an idea as to how fast nitrate build up.You may not need to change your tank water so often. Every tank is different.
