Hi All,

I recently inherited a bunch of reefing equipment from a friend who got out of the hobby including a Maxxima 4 Stage Ro filter.

How can I determine what GPH it's rated for? ie..25gph or 50gph? There's no labeling on the unit other than the Brand.

Also, I purchased a pressure gauge from BRS to add to the unit. Once I know the GPH how do I determine the proper pressure for the unit?

Thanks!

check the R.O. membrane. it's written on the side. you want atleast 50 psi i believe, otherwise, you are going to waste alot more water than necessary.

Run your RODI unit into a labeled container and see how long it takes to fill one gallon. From there multiply by 24 and thats your gallons per day. Most RODI's like to be 50psi, but many membranes for different so its hard to suggest a "proper psi" if you can find a product manual that should tell you the right psi to optimum operation. Temp is important to some membranes also.
