Need help setting up Coralife Ca Reactor

Call me a noob. But Don't exactly know how to set this darn thing up. I don't want to experiment with it. Please someone chime in if you had one or running one.

I have the Coralife Ca Reactor 250

Will post pics of what you have regarding this setup. Most Calcium Reactor are hookup the same way. I'm sure there are many here who have a calcium reactor can give you instruction.

Also the thing with the ph monitor also. I have a milwaukee ph monitor.

the Milwaukee ph probe sticks right int he top fill the reactor up liek 3/4 with media, also you can hook up an air lifter pump on the water supply tubing to get stronger flow.Any other questions?

So what ph do I set the monitor to? Also the thing with the bubble counter, How much carbon dioxide should I let out?

um i think you start the monitor on 7.6- make sure you calibrate it. and bubbles iv always had like a fast bubble to 2 bubbles per second i think ill wait till it pops on. If your alk coming from the reactor is to low then turn the monitor down that will raise your alk and by turning the monitor up it will lower the alk.

I've attempted to set it up today.

Got a few questions.

Is the output suppose to flow/come out continuously or drip?

Also when is the Ca reactor suppose to turn on? It turns on sometimes and sometimes it don't.

I unplugged it for now because I don't want everything to screw up. Someone please chime in.

do u mean pH Controller? if so ,it should be set to 6.5. bubble can be 1-3/s depending on your ca demands.

That helped too reefman! I was talking about the effluent. Should it just flow into the tank or drip into the tank?

effluent flow rate depending on your co2 rate.
read up on this to learn more on fine tuning.
