Hello MR members. I have a situation that hopefully someone can help answer. I have a MTC HSA 250 Protein Skimmer that I can not seem to tune properly. Issues that I am having are: 1. Microbubbles are being expelled into my sump via the outlet on the ps. 2. Seems that I do not have enough pressure in the chamber because water is not reaching to the collection cup when the venturi is fullly opened. 3. Hell of alot of noise comming from the venturi. When I close the venturi (thoose of you who had one know) then there are no bubbles and the water rises.. I'm running a Mag 9 on it. I'm running out of patience here.
Ohh BTW the skimmer sits in about 10 - 11' inches of water.... I'm thinking backpressure and that the skimmer is in to deep of water. I have no room too raise the protein skimmer at all. So if anyone who has had one up and running... or has one running, give a hand to a fellow reefer. I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks.. Noel

I am leaning with the idea of it sitting in too much water aswell RickyTsui. I'll see tomorrow if I lower the water level. Thanks for the quick reply!!!

Well it turned out that it was not the height of the water nor backpressure issue. It was my stupid assembly of the venturi. I had the internal component upsidedown causing the massive amount of microbubbles and restricting the flow which caused the backpressure.
