Hi guys I just woke up right now and I looked in my tank my ato dumped too much water my sensor that I have inside is in place should I take out water or just let it evaporate. I shut down my reef fanantic ato , I might be thinking that the rio180 little pump is too much I should get a 404

I would think it depends on the size of your system, as well as the size of your fw reservoir, and how much fw was dumped in. Have you checked the salinity in the DT?
I've had similar situation with no ill effects, but I have 155 gallon reef with a small 10 gallon reservoir.:)

I don't believe the size of the pump has anything to do with it. What controls the amount of water going into your tank is the sensors not the pumps. I also have the ReefFanatic ato, and I run it with a MJ 1200

Lester, you should check whether there was continuous siphon that happened. Sometimes, even if the pump shuts down, if there is a siphon created, it will continue to dump water.

What was ur salinty before? Also how much net water volume do u have? My reef runs at .025-.026. If u would like to raise it just don't replish with fresh water as u evaporate just use saltwater with ur same salinty untill u get to where u wanna be at in salinty.
