ReefKeeper Lite Temp Problem

This morning I noticed that my RKL began display "itemp error" instead of a temp reading. The unit is no longer controlling my heater and the temp fell a few degrees down to 75. I tried unplugging the unit and probe, cleaning the probe, and re calibrating but I still get "itemp error".

I sent an email to Digital Aquatics and have my ebo jager heater running on it's own thermostat for now. I am thinking about going back to a dual stage ranco again. Even if DA offers to fix the unit or replace it, I can't sleep knowing that this could happen again.

DA has always been really good at getting back to me quickly.

I know they've been advancing the units pretty quickly. Have you checked your firmware version?

jackson did you recently upgrade it? i upgraded mine and if you have an sl1 or sl2 there is a different temp probe. not sure if that helps

flipit13, no upgrades. I bought this unit in August and it has been running the same with no problems until now.

Rick, Digital Aquatics contacted me via email and will replace my temp probe (under warranty)

Glad to hear that it's working out....

I received a bad ranco e.g. E2 error message -which means it doesn't store values in memory when the power is cut....and with that the whole unit needed to be replaced
