i have a complete reef tank 72g with 3 pairs of fp clowns and i have three bubletips. a rose, green and bleached. my biggest clown is about 2 1/2 to 3 inches. she and her mate use to breed all the time but never got the eggs to hatch, and if they did the babies would be lunch because there is about 10-12 fish in the tank. they dont breed as often anymore but constantly mating. the eggs are usually laid near the bubbletip and a flat rock with my flow and hover over the eggs all day. it took about 2 years though to finally lay eggs but i got all six when they were only 1/2 to 1 inch. i have heard of people getting them to breed right away but thats not how mine worked. there is a bunch of threads about breeding clowns, id ask them what there opinion is. good luck!

They will breed if they're happy, but raising the babies is a different matter. Someone with more experience breeding clownfish can chime in here, but the young clowns will need large amounts of small food (rotifers) to survive. The amount of food you would need to put in a tank that size would more than likely foul the water quickly.

If you're interested in breeding them, there are a couple of good books out there. That, a supply of rotifers, and a 10g tank with some flower pots and you'll be on your way.
