I need suggestions

I am looking to setup a 125 reef tank. As far as power heads: what is a decent power head and how many do I need? As far as a protein skimmer: what is a decent brand and do I put it in the sump or on the side of the tank? Do I just put live rock in the sump?

I use the new Koralia dc system works well much cheaper then other units us as many as it take to keep crap of the bottom I use 6 in my 150 (2 #7's and 4 #4's). skimmers I would suggest Precision Marine, MTC or Bermuda( i use it) how you install it does not mater however the in sump units will need to be played with all the time depending on the water level in the sump. Rock in the sump is good everyone will say use rubble. I am not a big fan of rubble as crap gets in between it and just affects your water quality however you can still find small rock that is check however not on the border of being crushed coral.
