Best LFS within an hour drive from the city

I booked a zipcar (rental car) for the day because I had a meeting to go to. The meeting got cancelled last minute. So now I have a car and a free day. I'm thinking about visiting a LFS outside of the city. Any recommendations of one within say an hour or so away? Preferably near a Costco and Home Depot.

The more thoughts the better.

Head over to Absolutely Fish in Clifton and there's a home Depot and Costco on the way on RT 3.

Home Depot at the Bloomfield Ave exit and Costco at the Main Ave exit on rt 3.

Well worth the drive. I was there over the weekend and picked up some nice stuff for a nice price.
they have a bunch of zoo frags for only $7. Great prices on everything

I thought about that. It's actually closer when I mapped the store as opposed to just mapping Deer Park.

Very nice stuff, but on the higher end of pricing. Small acro colonies are about 110+ and saw some crazy scoly's this weekend for 200+. Smaller frags are <100 for other things.

That was this first place I thought of this morning. I think I'll do that on a nicer day and maybe take my girlfriend. Their super clean looking displays will definitely impress her.

+1 on Tropical Island (Deer Park) and GC Fish & Reef (Centereach)...not far from eachother and easy to get to.

I would go to GC Fish and reef. they are fully stocked. Well worth the trip. Then u can stop at island aquarium.
